Series Summary The Series Summary Trowa
is the most mysterious Gundam pilot. Like most of them, most of his past remains
a mystery even to him, and very little of it is revealed along the way. Trowa
Barton itself is a code name, like Heero Yuy, as the real Trowa Barton is dead.
Trowa's true name is Triton Bloom (stick with Trowa, hunny, please...)just as
Heero's is Odin Lowe Jr. You can see why they changed them. Poor boys. Trowa's
biography in the series begins in the first episode, where he identifies himself
and his battle number, " This is battle 0001, pilot's name, Trowa."
But he is seen for only a short while. He
applies to join the circus in episode 3, where he demonstrates his amazing
ability with animals and meets the Manager and Cathrine Bloom. (Last name ring a
bell?) He is hired as a clown, and becomes Cathrine's pin cushion as she throws
knives at him. Later,
his first confrontation with another Gundam pilot occurs when he becomes engaged
in a battle with Quatre Raberba Winner. Quatre comes out of his Gundam stating
that they shouldn't be fighting each other, and that was the start of a
beaaaaauuuutiful friendship. Trowa returns to Quatre's safe house and stays
there for quite some time while his mobile suit is repaired and loaded with
ammo. This is when the famous duet occurs also. As many Yaoi fans say,
"Quatre and Trowa make beautiful music together." But, anyway, away
from that awful Yaoi rumor that blemishes my baby's name. When
Trowa leaves Quatre, another famous quote can be heard, as Quatre asks Trowa of
his name, "I have no name, but if you must call me something, call me
Trowa, Trowa Barton." Trowa
fights a few battles in between here and there, if you've scene the series I
don't have to go into detail about every single fight he's in. Until he
literally brings down the house at the circus, and forces Cathrine to knock
serious sense into him. I'm talking a good punch in the face here. After
this, a large scale battle is fought, when OZ literally used the Gundams to
there advantage in dissolving the Earth Sphere Alliance. In this major battle,
the Gundams find themselves fighting and losing together, as Heero is forced to
self-destruct his Gundam Wing and presumed dead. Trowa
finds Heero and takes him up, caring for him until he regains full consciousness
3 months later. (Or is it a month? I gotta go look at my tapes...) After that,
the both of them go about on a series of road trips so Heero can confess to the
families of the innocent people he killed that HE DID IT! *points at Heero* You!
You! You...Murderer!!!! Heero:
Yeah yeah, what about it? Ang:
Uh...n/m Anyways,
they go to Antarctica together to go reclaim the Gundam Wing and fight Zechs and
stuff. All good fun, yadda yadda yadda....ON TO THE GOOD STUFF!!!! When
the Gundam Pilots are forced in space, Trowa takes the liberty of joining OZ as
a mobile suit pilot and quickly becomes one of Lady Une's favorites. He
is joined by Heero, (obviously all by plan) although Heero was technically a
prisoner, as well as the Five Doctors...Did I mention that? We
all know that the cockpit system in the Wing Zero makes pilots go loony, right?
Well actually, it enhances their own fighting ability and makes them see their
future. And unless you learn to override it with your own emotions, it makes you
go nuts. So...Quatre
goes nuts over the death of his father and sister anyway, this just makes it
worse. And he goes on a wild killing spree, randomly destroying colonies and
bases at sheer will. Heero and Trowa are sent in to stop him, but Quatre, acting
too much on his own emotions and losing control of his actions, fires upon Trowa
in the Vayeate Suit, causing him to be jettisoned and shot out into space. Trowa
has a really good speech here, in which he described the Gundam Pilots of being,
"...No more than redundant soldiers." Trowa
is MIA for a good chunk of the series now, making me sit on the edge of my seat
the first time I saw the series through. Every time I heard his name mentioned,
I cried right along with Quatre. Then I wanted to kill Quatre for doing that to
him. Quatre:
Hey! Now, come on... You know it was an accident. I'm really sorry, really! I
am! Ang:
Yes, Quatre, we all know that you are the most psychotic pilot, now put your
straight jacket on and go play in your rubber room. Quatre:
YAY!!! Anyway...Trowa
drifts off to a small colony where he is found by Cathrine and brought back into
the circus with total amnesia. The first to find him were Duo Maxwell and Hilde
Schbeiker, and when Duo rushed to see him, he was repelled by Cathrine, who said
that Trowa wouldn't be fighting anymore. Quatre
was the next to discover Trowa, and the one to reintroduce him to space and
mobile suit piloting. Trowa quickly adheres to piloting, but his mind is still a
blank from what happened before. His Heavy Arms still on Earth and not suitable
for space, Trowa pilots a white Sank Kingdom Brand TM Taurus. Now,
with Relena Peacecraft heading the Rommefellar Foundation and Zechs returning to
his old identity as Milliardo Peacecraft and fronting White Fang, the group of
violent mercenaries from the colonies, you get extremely confused in the series
if you miss an episode and your mind tries to figure out what in the h-e- double
hockey sticks happened. Heero
got control of the Wing Zero finally while on Earth, not to mention the newborn
Gundam Epyon that Zechs/ Milliardo takes as his own after the Tallgeese gets
destroyed. Heero brings the Zero and the Heavy Arms along with him in space so
that Trowa can take it back, as soon as it is upgraded. That is, after Trowa
gets a whirl in the Zero and has nearly all of his memories returned to him
while inside. He
gets the Heavy Arms returned to him, finally, and the big space war begins. Oz
is pretty much out of the way now that Treize Kushrenada returned to the head of
Rommefellar and White Fang is causing most of the violence in space anyway. Now
the whole objective is to stop White Fang, who has control of the Libra
Battleship, from destroying the entire planet.... And
I'm not gonna spoil the ending of the series so watch it yourself!!!!! ****** Endless Waltz This
takes place a year later and is portrayed in a 3 episode OVA series. Every
character in this series play very even parts and have their share of flashbacks
from before they were Gundam Pilots. Heero's probably the most shocking and
upsetting in my opinion. Trowa's
debut in this series is at the circus with Cathrine where he is SHIRTLESS!!!
Ok, I'm good now. Anyway,
there he encounters and beats the living s*** out of members of the Barton
Foundation, throwing him into his first flashback. In this you see him encounter
the true Trowa Barton, who shows him a picture of his sister, Laia, and her
daughter, Mariameia. Mariameia,
of course, is the daughter of Laia and Treize Kushrenada. This is what drives
the series. Mariameia is a spoiled, very intelligent and brainwashed child of I
say, 6. She believes that she should carry out her Father's so called
"plan" for world domination. The
Barton Foundation plan to put the original plan for Operation Meteor into
motion, which is, drop a colony on Earth. The
Gundam Pilots know this is trouble, and have to save the world yet again.
However, all of the Gundams except for the Altron, is on a satellite on its way
to the Sun to be destroyed, and time is limited to recover them. Wufei
is still obsessed with that fact that he is fighting Treize and that he did not
kill him. Therefore he still has the Altron ( Custom) in his possession. He is
working under the Barton Foundation and is against the Gundam Pilots most of the
series. A
note to remember about the series: The Custom Gundams are there from the
beginning and are present in the flashbacks as well. This confused the hell out
of me when I watched this. You have to imagine as if they had the Customs the
entire time. I
don't think I'm gonna tell you anymore!!! ****** The Barton Foundation The
Barton Foundation was established to help unite the Colonies against the United
Earth Sphere Alliance. They helped design the original Operation Meteor, and
funded the building of the Gundams. The Foundation was put into submission by
the scientists, who installed the Gundam Pilots we are familiar with, and
created their own plan for Operation Meteor. ****** Operation Meteor The
original plan for Operation Meteor constituted the dropping of several colonies
on Earth and using the Gundams to come in and take over whatever was left,
killing and destroying whatever was in their path. The
second plan, however, created by the 5 scientists, simply had the 5 Gundams
disguise themselves as meteors and crash-land on Earth. Then go on several
missions to destroy military bases and government conventions rather than bouts
of mass murder.
